The international master classes
were founded in 1986 by Prof. Petru Munteanu and since then have taken place regularly every summer. Within a short time the reputation of the classes has grown rapidly. Lectures on methodical and educational topics complement the artistic and instrumental work. At the end of the master class, concerts will give students the opportunity to present their considerable skills. In 1988 the first violin competition took place in relation to the masterclasses. The 18en International Competition for Violin will take place in August 2019. It is open for young people up to an age of 21 years (3 age groups). Further information can be obtained from Prof. Munteanu. Internet: www.violinwettbewerb.de
The prepared pieces should be equivalent to the level of a solo sonata or partita by Bach, a classical, romantic or contemporary piece for violin. Talented children and gifted young people are also invited to apply. The class offers individual instrumental lessons (4–5 hours), workshops, interpreting training and pedagogic lectures. Chamber music classes are possible. The best results of the students will be presented at several internal performances and in one or more public concerts.
The Masterclass 2019 takes place between 13. (arrival) and 22. August 2019 (departure). Current and further information can be obtained via the menu item MEISTERKURS 2019.
